  This is Americanized, old school Chinese food at both it's worst and but is also interesting. I think they're famous for their buffet which is about 75% fried foods and which smell good but hardened my arteries looking at it in the warming trays.
  The joint is old, rundown and could use a good scrubbing. There is a little section where there is an assortment of Asian chotskys and they do accept credit cards, but no checks! :-)
  Out of everything I ordered to take home, the sesame beef and the pork egg foo young was the best. Neither was too salty, had a decent flavor but was not very Chinese. I know I'm in the middle of Mid Missouri and I shouldn't expect LA type of Chinese or even St. Louis, Chinese food, but the fact that the rest of my food was bland and disappointing, wasn't surprising.
  The 'lobster' chow mein with crunchy noodles, was really FAKE KRAB, mixed with mostly cabbage and onions, accompanied by a stale, old tasting bag of crunchy noodles.
  The appetizer chicken wings were hot and decent but the pork fried rice was gross. The staff was barely cordial and didn't seem at all happy to serve someone who didn't want to eat buffet. Oh well...I'll keep trying!

  Great price, very friendly staff. They always remember us, and that is nice. The food is usually fresh at dinner, more so than other buffets in the area, and the prices are reasonable. The salt and pepper shrimp are very good, as is anything in a brown sauce. They have very good potsticker dumplings, and BBQ skewers. Even though I like seafood, I usually don't do the crab on the buffet on weekends, even though it isn't bad. A little salty, but mostly I just prefer other dishes. Many of their items are generous with the fresh broccoli and mushrooms, which I love. Good wonton soup, if you order it off the menu.
